Drive time conversation with FFP: on the occasion of the feast of St. Joseph the Worker, that Jesus was both fully divine and fully human, and that His humanity came from his mother, the Virgin Mary, but that his role model for His masculinity came from St. Joseph, and while we do not think of Jesus as being macho, proof of such can be found in His Passion. Also, why does St. Joseph get just today while the BVM gets the whole month? If asked, St. Joseph would probably smile and say, Ladies first! but if pressed, would become stern and say, Dude, I didnt live to see the Crucifix - she had to go through THAT. I am cherishing these times with my son since before long he will be driving on his own.
