Driving to the lake cottage for a week of vacation and stopped dead in traffic for a serious accident for 30 minutes east of Grand Rapids. They shuttled us off at the first exit, but provided no signs or help for detours. I prayed for the folks involved. Not sure which way to go, I followed the semi ahead of me and ended up on a very rural road. 15 miles ahead traffic stopped again. This time a tractor trailer 100 yds ahead of us collided with a minivan. I ran up to the intersection and found a terrible scene. The minivan driver was trapped inside and in tremendous back pain. I held this mans hand and prayed with him until the ambulance arrived. As the emergency services folks took over, I continued to pray. I turned to the side and saw the tractor trailer driver standing there in tears.... So I talked and prayed with him. By this time the mini-van driver had been removed and was on a back board, and was moving all his extremeties. He looked over at me and mouthed thank you. On my way again, 30 miles down the road I came across a pickup truck in the ditch. Three kids and no injuries.... I helped them realize any damage to,the vehicle was fixable.... Bit they were safe. If my delayed start to vacation helped people.... Thank you Lord.
