Dubstep is dead!, thats what people have been saying... well, in fact I do believe that it got a massive BOOM because it was made and loved by my generation, when my generation was dominating the innovation scenario... the others just followed, as usual, and that was the BOOM. Maybe thats why dubstep uses loads and loads of 8bit sounds, we were influenced by the first videogame consoles. :) Now, just like any other genre, it just remains with the dubstep generation public, others just moved on. Although, in my opinion, there isnt any other electronic genre like Dubstep, Drum&Bass and Trap... all the rest is pure shit (thats why house music, for example, only uses 5 to 8 instruments, while this genres use something like 10+ instruments)!
