Due to being exposed to art early in my life, I feel that is the reason why I find a way to improve upon any distressed situations that come my way, learn from my mistakes and try to leave it better than when I found it, although that is not always the case. In light of this weeks past Meet & Greet event that was a partial success, I am sharing the most recent article about Why Is Art Important in School that I have found. I know for a fact that when I was a child in the Virginia public schools, we had art at once a week. It was treated as a creation time and a possible life trade, not simply time to waste. I also learned how to respect others and the tools being used. There is something completely backwards about an education system who do not make time for a full time Art Class and instead focus on pushing a hive mind mentality. WE do not all learn the same way, but being able to express our own ideas and opinions through ANY creative outlet is important and must be encouraged, or be silenced completely. How will you help to save our children from distruction?
