Due to our major renovation, were down to one bathroom. And one bathroom means were down to one toilet .... shared between us and all the contractors building us a better home. Of course this means were one flush away from a crisis if anything should happen to our only toilet. And on Monday it happened. Suspicious that it suddenly stopped working after a day of renos, we asked the general contractor to look into it. After the usual plunging didnt resolve the issue, they decided to remove the toilet and dig a little deeper. Okaaayyy. Much to everyones surprise, the culprit wasnt what you would come to expect from a toilet clog. They found a screw driver. We can only assume that the electrician had it in his back pocket, where it accidentally fell in the toilet. Of course the sound of hard plastic and metal hitting the porcelain bowl is the sound of a completely natural biological function (what does that guy eat for breakfast?). And, of course, he would flush thinking all is well while congratulating himself on a job well done. Dumb-ass. At least it makes for a great story.
