Due to recent complaints into the PD: Please be informed that starting Monday August 25th at 8 am, the River Bend Police will in reference to Code of Ordinance Section 15.02.083, increase its enforcement efforts regarding vehicle parking violations on the grass. As may be aware, the ordinance does provide a provision for short term parking for guests and others. This short-term time frame shall be 5 hours from the time the officer notices said parking violation. Thereafter the noticed short-term parking violation time, persons are to be issued a town citation for violation after 5 hours has expired. If your guest or visitors require longer parking time frames, please contact the Police Department to arrange for a Temp Parking Pass that will be marked with the Vehicle Tag number and date of expiration of the permit. Permits cannot be transferred from one car to another. If an extension is needed, please contact the Police Department. This ordinance has been in effect since 2010.
