Due to the high probability of inclement weather Friday, delivery of the “Giant Christmas Tree” and lighting ceremony schedule has been changed. According to event organizer Doug Halter, the tree procession is now planned to begin at 9 a.m. Saturday. Sponsored by the Vincennes Central Business District and escorted by a horse-drawn wagon to the Gimbel Corner, the tree will travel south on Sixth Street from its intersection with Old Wheatland Road to Main Street then west to the corner of Second and Main streets. Carriage rides in the downtown area are scheduled to be available from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday evening as well. The public is invited to attend the ceremonial lighting at 6 p.m. Saturday. Thursday Church is still planning its showing of The Polar Express at 6 p.m. Friday at 218 Main St.
