During the last few weeks before he died, Jerry White recited - TopicsExpress

During the last few weeks before he died, Jerry White recited portions of Psalm 84 to our daughter Michelle Miller and to me at home and at the hospital. One time a nurse was in the room, and she waited for him to finish before she went on about her work. This song, How Lovely is Thy Dwelling Place is based on Psalm 84. He must have sung it in college and said he would like at his funeral. Maybe its done as a solo, too, but either way, we werent able to find a soloist or a choir on short notice to perform this piece. It keeps running through my head even though a month has passed.... These verses 10-12 are not included in the song, but they are part of what he would recite: For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. O Lord of Hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee. He would say that even though he had cancer, God wouldnt allow anything that hadnt already gone through His filter. He was so thankful for the way God had led is his life. Now he is sleeping peacefully in the grave awaiting that Lovely Dwelling Place in Heaven when Jesus returns. https://youtube/watch?v=XwnZ748e3CA
