Dutch DJ, Afrojack, is going through an “emotional crisis” ever since rap star Eminem claimed not to know who Afrojack was when accepting an award at last night’s MTV Europe Music Awards. In the clip below the host, Will Ferrell in his Anchorman Ron Burgundy guise, asks Eminem if he is aware that Afrojack had been “talking shit” about the rapper to which suggestion the rapper dryly responds, “Who?” “He was hoping that if he talked shit about Eminem then the rapper would lose control and start a public beef with Afrojack,” explained a source close to the stricken DJ. “It was supposed to be perfect for his career and would introduce Afrojack to a whole new audience. He had already done a similar thing quite successfully by producing the recent Paris Hilton track. Because of that he’s never been more popular with vacuous, tone-deaf, tween idiots.” “But when Eminem just asked ‘who?,’ after hearing the suggestion that Afrojack had talked shit about him, the audience just laughed. Through that one simple word he’s reduced Afrojack from a potential rival to some small time annoyance,” moaned the source. “All the credibility he’d gathered from working with Paris Hilton was lost in that one moment.” “I turned to Afrojack to comfort him but he was already weeping loudly and asking why Eminem was so mean,” continued the insider. “He asked me could I make the bad people stop and if I’d talk to Eminem to let him know that he was sorry and if they could be friends.” Afrojack reportedly ran home crying from the awards show and locked himself in his room where friends reported hearing the sounds of Eminem posters being torn from walls and the Eminem track Stan being played on repeat. Afrojack has since yesterday had his Twitter and Facebook feeds inundated by people posting that simple query, “who?”, over and over again, a development which has forced Afrojack into an identity crisis and resulted in the star hiding under his bed and whinging. Reports indicate that his mother is en-route to rub the star’s belly and tell him everything will be ok.
