This client on the first picture came to me yesterday wanted a new set of nails but had to leave without. Why? Let me tell you: Shes had extremely bad luck with two different nail techs. The first one filed her acrylics off so bad that her natural nails were left totally damaged and almost completely filed though!! (You see the red spots and damage at the free edge). The second one did gel nails (on top of her already damaged nails!!) and it later turned out that the gel wasnt fully cured so a couple of days later, gel started to sip out by the cuticles! If you look closely at the skin she has developed an allergi for acrylats because of the uncured gel and any contact with eather gel or acrylics will only make it worse. She now has to see a doctor to get some cortisone and then rest the nails for about 4-6 months. She was of course devastated and I feel so sorry for her! The picture under her nails is one of my clients after a full removal. This is how it should look! Never let a nail tech file though your natural nail, tell them to stop or walk away! If you happen to get uncured gel sipping out from the nails, remove them immediatlely and check for spots on the skin! Both these nail techs were trained and should have knows better. The client didnt even get help from eather of the salons when contacting them and they basically blamed everything on her. So sick!! Being a good nail tech is also having to ability to decide when to not apply nails on a client and send them to get medical care. They will respect and appreciate you as much for that.
