Made it to Florida safely! Ill be checking into my apartment complex tomorrow morning at Vista Way and meeting my roommates for the next four months in the early afternoon. I can hardly wait! A HUGE thanks goes out to my family (Carrie Suzanne Taulbee Hartges, Justin Hartges, Nathan Hartges) for the prayers as Ive traveled down to Orlando. In addition, thanks to my parents for their gifts of laundry detergent, toothpaste, gift cards to various restaurants, and assorted snackage (And many, many other gifts to make the adjustment easier!). Shoutout to my aunt Sheila Taulbee Roe and uncle Richard Roe for letting me stay overnight at their house on the way down, for the Mexican dinner, lunch for the drive down, new pair of work shoes, and coffee maker for my apartment. I appreciate you both so much. Also, thanks to my grandma for letting me stay the night, the complimentary dinner and breakfast in the morning, and food for my first few weeks in Florida. Youre the best! And last, but certainly not least, a massive thanks goes out to my lovely girlfriend Rebecca Lynne Stachulski for her support and encouragement as Ive ventured away from her for a third of the year. Youre brave and courageous, sweetheart, and even though Im off on the adventure of a lifetime, I can hardly wait to see your beautiful face when you visit in March and again in May when I come home.
