~ EARTH HOUR, whatd youall do during this time? We had our candles going, all power out (minus the refridgerator) the boys started with Im bored but turned into wrestling matches on the floor. I folded laundry from earlier, and my one son Daniel has a wind-up radio he likes for outdoors, well we got that going and tuned into some calming music. I usually do alot to try and reserve resources. Like our laundry - most of it I hang on clothes hangers in the shower after washing. It saves the expense of the dryers and adds moisture to the house. And when they are dry, they are carried off by the boys directly into their closet already hung ;) I purchased an additional shower curtain pole just for this purpose. We also purchase alot of refillable items and in quantity. This year we are adding vegies to our usual round of flower planting, and greatly appreciative for all the new ideas (like resprouting celery or romaine lettuce) this is something we are going to be doing as well. We are going green for the most part, I cant fix everything, but I can do my part. I also am not superhuman and enjoy the luxury of technology and bacon - just not willing to give up those items (yet) we are making a smooth transition so far on many other things though YAY...
