Bleeding, usually from the eyes, and bruising (people near death may bleed from other orifices, such as ears, nose and rectum) Ebola – the world’s deadliest virus that has claimed nearly 5,200 lives has reached the Indian sub-continent. 36,460 passengers have been screened for Ebola till December 4, 2014. Among them, 700 passengers are being tracked by IDSP. After screening, passengers have been categorised. Of the total passengers, 36,379 were in low risk, eight in medium risk. 73 passengers were placed in high risk category. As Ebola has a fatality rate of up to 90%, and dangerous rate of spreading in India, Indian government and Media is leaving no stone unturned to prevent the virus spreading in the country.
