EBOLA: This is not the time for panics, but read the below and let us help the Ministry of Health raise funds to create isolated tents across the country to help deal with a possible EBOLA outbreak. EBOLA has killed over 600 people in West Africa and Nigeria has been hit. Im told KATH in Kumasi is reporting suspicious death. Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD) and some of us are planning to raise the awareness and possibly seek funding for our Ministry of Health that is quite broke right now to do something. PERHAPS THE MINISTRY SHOULD BEGIN BY AUCTIONING SOME OF THE VEHICLES THEY HAVE A senior Journalist Emmanuel Dogbevi shared this from his checksThe ebola issue is as scary as it could be. The Ministry of Health requested for 2 million cedis to prepare against ebola, budget was slashed to 50,000. Hospitals left on their own to prepare. Some protective clothes and sanitizers have been distributed but not enough. It is even not clear if the protective clothes are the appropriate ones. Unlike preparations for bird flu which was coordinated with a common training manual, ebola has none. There is not a single isolation ward to keep patients. Politicians say the country is ready so experts and technocrats are quiet even though they know the country is not ready. They dont want to contradict politicians! Physician specialists in individual hospitals have been tasked to do training, so they are preparing their own manuals. If ebola strikes it would be a disaster!
