EDGE OF TOMORROW. Entertaining, smart and well crafted futuristic warfare pins an American officer displaced in a human conflict against alien race; where he soon discovers he plays a vital and a destined role. Cruise is solid once again, not surprisingly, his roles often yield a dedicated and well thought out projects. Nothing is exaggerated here, the setup, the core scenes of battlefield and the players involved all connect into a well made package. A hint of humor sprinkles just enough around the edges of the fight not to distract, and Cruises artistic balance bounces well between the script and elevating its core. Supporting cast does him justice especially a badass performance of Emily Blunt as the film flows beautifully into a satisfying conclusion. 8/10 VERY GOOD
