***EDIT*** LATEST RADAR shows the cell has grown/surged east somewhat, and now looks like it will affect areas like MT PLEASANT, CORRIMAL, THIRROUL ETC Ive left the initial post below to show how quickly it can change, in this case as I was typing the status... Many areas will experience the rumbles, and many will see the lightning, However the bulk of the core/rain etc is heading for those locations above. I SHOULD ALSO NOTE - It is no longer severe, and coastal wind conditions are not favourable to maintain the storm once it comes off the highlands...like every storm today... edit again: Seems it recycled on the northern side which has intentisifed ########### The Rumbles you are hearing in the western suburbs are coming from the nasty storm on the highlands, the one that is NOT heading this way. It is in fact heading towards Wilton and Appin - *though expanding Easterly a little* bit so bolts may be visible to the west from a good vantage point like the lighthouse or skiway park at the lake etc...can definitely see flashes in Kanahooka. NOW, there is some isolated showers about too but as of yet, these arent producing any lighting - and probably wont either. These showers are heading this way so you may get a drop from them. BACK to the highlands storm, Waiting on more radar updates, But The Easterly expansion might be throwing out bolts a little closer then I expected, the Rumble just as I was typing this was a good one and sounded closer then the rest.. -Simon
