EDO STATE.: Report from Edo State on Thursday said gunmen suspected to be kidnappers abducted three female primary school teachers at Orogbua Primary School, Upper Ekenwa Road, Benin City. The victims – Patience Osadolor, Momodu Aisna and Patience Okoshone – were seized on the premises of the school after the gunmen who came in a commando style shot sporadically and escaped in a car belonging to one of the victims. A stray bullet was said to have hit one Derick Akpotu, who was in the school to check on his daughter. It was gathered that Akpotu is being treated at an undisclosed hospital. The gunshots scared both the teachers and pupils, making them to run helter-skelter. Edo State police spokesman, Moses Egoevoen, said the command has mounted a manhunt for the suspects, reiterating that “Edo State cannot be a haven for kidnappers.”
