EDUCATION ! Education: this mountain prepares us for life. *It equips us with the skills and abilities needed to make something of ourselves in life. * It also shapes our world view. Day 45: Deut 6:5-10. 5Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. 6 These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. 7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. 8 Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. 9 Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates. 10 When the Lord your God brings you into the land he swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, to give you—a land with large, flourishing cities you did not build, Role of Teachers in Childrens Education. *Pray that teachers would recognize and be more proactive concerning their responsibility in directing the education of children. Almighty God, We come to you today and give thanks for all our teachers. Thank you for the way in which they give of themselves each day in the classroom, serving and instructing the next generation of this land. We thank you for them all now. Father, please fill their hearts with courage now by your mighty Spirit. Fill them with your strength, so they may rise to every challenge and not grow weary. Fill them with your wisdom, so that they may be able to make good judgement when guiding and helping others. Fill them with your peace, so that when stress and anxiety comes it would not overwhelm them. Fill them with your joy, so that the passion they have for their subject may become a infectious passion that spreads. We ask all this in the wonderful name of Jesus. *Pray that teachers would have wisdom and revelation for implementing effective strategies in disciplining and instructing children in Godliness. Father, please fill the teachers with your understanding as they instruct others, Help them to see the individual potential of every student they teach. Jehovah , please fill the teachers with your patience as they teach each student. Help them to keep giving of their time and energy, especially to those who struggle the most. *Pray for revival in the teaching profession. Pray for integrity and a heart for the children. Dear Lord, please give the teachers your divine wisdom in each classroom, show them when they must discipline and when to show mercy. Father, help them to depend totally on You, for You are the source of their strength, courage and peace. Father, above all, may they love and care for each student they teach. Show them how to serve as Christ serves, to give as Christ gives and to love as Christ loves. *Pray that the teaching profession would be characterized by a sense of calling, and not by lack of choice or financial gain. *Pray for a strong moral foundation in the teaching staff in schools, and that their educational philosophies would be characterized by the fear of God. *Pray for that the teachers would be driven by a sense of justice and wellbeing of the students.
