SANCTIFICATION AND PURITY OF HEART A MUST FOR ALL HEAVEN BOUND BELIEVERS: Eph.5:25-27. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. Sanctification is a glorious experience that brings a believer into a glorious life without spots or wrinkles or blemish. It makes us to be part of the glorious church that Christ is coming for. Sanctification is the second work of grace after salvation. It is not an optional experience but mandatory for all believers who want to be with the Lord in eternity. Sanctification is very important because of the following reasons. (1) God promised it both in Old and New Testaments. Ezekiel.36:25-26. 1Thess.5:22-24. (2) Christ prayed for the believer’s sanctification. John.17:9, 14-20. (3) Christ’s death on the cross of Calvary provided for the believer’s sanctification. Hebrews.12:12-13. Titus.2:13-14; Hebrews.10:10, 14. (4) Sanctification is God’s perfect will for all His children. 1Thess.4:3, 7. (5) Christ’s blood is also for our sanctification. Hebrews.13:12, 20-21. (6) The Holy Ghost is involved in the believer’s sanctification. Rom.15:16. (7) Without sanctification the church will never be glorious. Eph.5:25-27. The believer must come to the Lord voluntarily to be sanctified as God does not force sanctification on anybody. Hebrews.13:12-13; Rom.12:1-2. The Holy bible makes it very clear that salvation and sanctification are two different experiences. Salvation brings you into the kingdom of God, it leads you to receive forgiveness of sin and you become a new creation. 2Cor.5:17. Sanctification is for the believer people who are already born again. Sanctification leads you to partake of the divine nature and the Lord takes away the nature of sin and imparts His holy nature into you. 2Peter.1:3-4. Let me show you the differences between salvation and sanctification. (1) In salvation you have the forgiveness of sin, while in sanctification you have the removal of sin nature. (2) In salvation you have life but in sanctification you have life more abundantly. (3) In salvation you have peace with God but in sanctification you have the peace of God. (4) In salvation freed from sin outwardly, but in sanctification you free and free indeed from sin inwardly. (5) In salvation the tree of sin is cut down, but in sanctification the root is taken away. (6) In salvation there is love, but in sanctification there is the perfect love of God that casteth away fear. (7) Salvation gives you right for heaven, but sanctification gives you the fitness for heaven. To receive the experience of sanctification you must take the following steps. (1) Be sure of you are really born again. John.3:3. (2) Be separated from the world and all appearances of evil. 2Cor.6:17-18. John.17:14-16. 1Thess.5:22-24. (3) Love sanctification experience with all your heart. Pro.22:11. (4) Believe that you can and will be sanctified. Mk.9:23; James.1:6-8. (5) Hunger and thirst for it. Mt.5:6. (6) Consecrate your all on the altar of sacrifice. Rom.12:1-2. (7) Pray in faith and receive. Acts.26:18; Acts.15:9. HAVE YOU BEEN SANCTIFIED? IF NOT COME TO THE LORD AND CONSECRATE ALL ON THE ALTAR AND THE SANCTIFYING FIRE WILL COME UPON YOU AND BY THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST THE NATURE SIN WILL BE PURGED OUT.
