EGYPT Presidency of Egypt Calls On Muslim Brotherhood to Take Part in Reconciliation Cairo (SIS) - Addressing a press conference yesterday in Cairo, Ahmed El Moslemany, the media advisor to the Interim President 0f Egypt, Adly Mansour, called on all political powers including Muslim Brotherhood to take part in national reconciliation efforts called for by the Presidency. Referring to Turkish statements on Egypt, Moslemany said these statements are not appropriate adding Ankara should respect the will of the Egyptian people who took to the streets on June 30.He said Ankara should realize that it speaks about a big country like Egypt which cannot accept any interference in its affairs. On the fate of the ousted president, Moslemany said he is in a safe house and is treated properly. Moslemany said he does not know whether the U.S. Assistant Secretary of State William Burns has asked to meet the ousted president or not, he said there are no plans to issue a new complementary constitutional declaration adding the presidency was in favor of revoking the ministry of information but the current stage requires keeping it. He denied reshuffle of the press establishments leaderships for the time being. He said Dr. Moustafa Hegazy, the political advisor of the President is making contacts with the bodies concerned on national reconciliation. He said President Adly Mansour held a meeting with men of letters and media men adding a group of Tamarrud movement youths that have requested the President to visit the United States to explain the Egyptian situation. On Ramsis square incidents, Moslemany said we condemn all forms of violence urging all citizens to face up to terrorism. He said there is no future for terrorism in Egypt. He said Al Azhar will play a key role in national reconciliation in cooperation with the presidency .He said he would call on the Grand Sheikh of Al Azhar as an envoy of the president for discussions on reconciliation. On Rabaa Al Adaweya sit-in, Moslemany said the presidency makes it clear to all that the right of demonstration is guaranteed and hence they should join reconciliation adding any person arrested holding arms would be tried in line with the law. He said ministerial portfolios were offered to the religious current but were rejected. He said President Adly Mansour has appointed Dr. Essam Heggy, the expert at NASA as a scientific advisor to the president for scientific affairs.
