EIGHT BANK ROBBERS ARRESTED IN ARUNACHAL Itanagar: In a major breakthrough, Itanagar Police arrested eight robbers, including a woman, for their involvement in the August 2 robbery at Vijaya Bank branch on the Rajiv Gandhi University campus and also recovered some cash from their possession. Police also seized two pistols, ammunition, two SUVs and three motorcycles used by the robbers for committing the crime, Capital SP Seiju P Kuruvilla said here on Wednesday. The robbers were arrested on Monday, the SP said. They have been identified as Hiba Tajuk, Hiba Tagia, Bamang Taja and Bamang Jhon from Sangram, Tame Tarh Tarang from Nyapin in Kurung Kumey district, Raj Darlami Mogor from Sunaipam village in Assams Sonitpur district, Kapu Sat from Raga in Lower Subansiri district and Ngabi Tali from Kamba in West Siang district, the SP added. Police recovered Rs 8.3 lakh from the. All the arrested have been remanded in police custody for interrogation and further investigation is on. One more accused, Hiba Sikku, is still at large, the SP said.
