EK BURGH 2 v 1 MILL UNITED A hard fought and well deserved victory today and a great way to finish 2014. It was the concession of another cheap goal that had us chasing the game after the break despite a good first half performance that should have provided at least one goal for the home team. Burgh started brightly in the second half with good passages of play at a high tempo and were soon looking the most likely team to score. Ryan McLean set up Sam Jackson for the equaliser with a fantastic pass that he seems to spot and execute so well. Despite have lots of the play and hitting the woodwork 3 times it looked as though the scoring was finished and the game would end in a draw. Burgh were awarded a free kick on the right hand side of the pitch just outside the penalty box and after much deliberation Stevie White decided to try his luck and sent a wonderful free kick into the far top corner for what turned out to be the winner. It was a relatively comfortable win however the score line suggests otherwise so we need to make the most of out chances. That said, delighted to secure all 3 points with a good solid performance.
