EPL runners up from last season, Liverpool FC yesterday pulled - TopicsExpress

EPL runners up from last season, Liverpool FC yesterday pulled out of the UEFA Champions League, citing a lack of personnel among other things. This is coming on the heels of Luis Suarez’s transfer to Barcelona for a reported fee of £70m. While his signing has excited Barcelona fans, the La Liga players Union have cried out over their safety now that Luis Suarez will be playing amongst them. Their lobbying and petitions have paid off however, as news revving FNN informs us that a No Biting clause has been added to Luis Suarez’Suarez’s contract. The clause stipulates that in the event Suarez bites any member of the La Liga players Union, he will be docked 2 weeks wages. His medical is also set to be redone, with the new one including a test for rabies and vampirism. We are yet to hear from the Suarez legal team over the matter. In a statement released yesterday on the club’s website, the club begged UEFA not to allow Manchester United or Everton take their place.
