ETCHE PEOPLES LIBERATION CONGRESS PRESS RELEASE ETCHE PRESSURE GROUP REFUTES BARR. NYESOM WIKE’S SELF- CENTERED ENDORSEMENT BY PRINCE EMMA ANYANWU With highest degree of responsibility, especially as a formidable pressure front of Etche ethnic extraction with widespread membership that cuts across all the communities in Etche and Omuma LGAs, we wish to vociferously refute and renounce the political infraction and distraction in form of a media statement credited to Prince Emma Anyanwu that ETCHE PEOPLE have endorsed Chief Barr. Nyesom Wike to contest for governorship in the state. It should be noted that the statement was selfishly manufactured and fabricated by Prince Emma Anyanwu within the confines and comfort of his Abuja abode without recourse to proper consultation of Etche people. There has never been any gathering or meeting of Etche people where such sensitive political alignment was discussed, and our respected elder statesman is not authorized, mandated, delegated or assigned to make such provocative statement on behalf of Etche people as a distinct and dissimilar ethnic group. Etche People Liberation Congress (EPLC)has expected Prince Emma Anyanwu to lend his voice on the exclusion of Etche people from the ongoing national confab, prolonged political marginalization of Etche people, the petrifying decay of our health and road infrastructures, and such issues that has to do with Etche clamour and conquest for the senatorial seat, and not to formulate mendacious, embarrassing, self- serving, infantile and hypocritical political vituperation onbehalf of Etche people without adequate and appropriate consultation. Let it be on record that our group believe that Chief Barr. Nyesom Wike has every right and authority to vie and contest for the governorship seat as a popular candidate, and we are not under any compulsion or obligation to undermine same, but that Prince Emma Enyanwu is not the spokes person of Etche ethnic nationality,. Signed on behalf of EPLC Com. (Engr.) Japhet Ogbueri Com Hon. Prince S. A Onyeche, National Leader Principal Informational Officers.
