EVE WILL BEAR A SON, EVENTUALLY BRINGING THE MESSIAH Adam AND Eve were about to be expelled from the garden of Eden after they broke God’s command and ate the forbidden fruit. One exemplarily characteristic of the loving heavenly Father is that He always gives hope, even when giving correction. Here God promises Adam and Eve will give birth to a child, and through that child’s lineage eventually the Messiah will come.
