EVER HEARD A WOMAN SAY SHES GOING TO BE THE NEXT KATHRYN KUHLMAN? Over the course of my walk with Christ, Ive heard scores of women make this claim, ad nauseum. If I had a dollar for every time somebody told me that, I might be rich by now. For many years, there has been this universal obsession with women claiming theyve been prophesied to or even directly told by God that theyre going to be as mighty in healing the sick as Kathryn Kuhlman was. Even some men have made this claim. But, wonder of wonders, they never take the steps to pay the price Kathryn paid to operate in that kind of supernatural ability. They act as if that kind of power is going to just fall on them like ripe cherries off of a tree. However, in order to unlock and unleash the miraculous healing power of God in her life, Kathryn laid on her living room floor, each day, and read Matthew, Mark, Luke, John and Acts for 5 hours a pop. 5 hours a pop!!! But vainglorious hussies (trying to use the pulpit to get their shine on) are not going to pay that kind of price in order to operate in the raw power of God. And that is why their claims will remain nothing more than empty rhetoric. These are they whom the holy apostle denounced as having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof (2 Timothy 3:5). You see them everywhere these days, talking that high-falutin, hyper-spiritual grandiloquence, seasoned with superficial prophetic verbiage, but never ever producing tangible, bona fide miracles. Be not ye therefore like unto them (Matthew 6:8). Dont merely talk about doing the works of Jesus. Like Kathryn Kuhlman, be about doing the works of Jesus. nuff said! Thy people shall be willing in the day of Thy power (Psalm 110:3).
