EVERYDAY HEROES: Today is national celebration of the heroism of Ninoy Aquino. We are all awed by the sacrifice of this man for his country. We are thankful for that. But there is no dearth of heroes in our midst that we could emulate. Ordinary people making their lives extraordinary, the humble teacher, the honest janitor, the efficient private or public employee, the hardworking kasambahay, the charitable businessman, the loving mother, the patient dad, the inspiring manager, so many who contribute in small and big ways in the service of the nation. And yes, I could be too. Hail heroes, may your tribe increase.
