EXERCISE OF THE WEEK!!! This week’s exercise is the Multi-Planar Bicep Curl with Shoulder Press (optional). The primary focus of this exercise is to apply two different lines of resistance to increase the work and stabilisation performed by the muscles of the forearm and wrist (and the rotator cuff with the optional shoulder press). Using 2 resistance bands, have one anchored horizontally so that there is enough tension applied to the wrist whilst anchoring the other band to the floor like a typical RB Bicep Curl. Using the Hammer Curl grip, and ensuring the wrist and forearm maintain a linear alignment, flex the bicep. If you are performing the optional shoulder press, slowly press upwards maintaining alignments through the wrist, elbow and shoulder before slowly lowering as shown in the second half of the attached video.
