EYE CLINIC POST After arriving at Islamabad we had a 3 hour drive to the other side of Jelum.We went straight to the clinic to be met by hundreds of people and most had travelled far,1 person travelled nearly 13 hours from the kashmir border as he had missed the clinic that was held near his village desperate for treatment that he could no way afford. Honestly guys you have no idea how grateful these people are they have been hugging us shaking our hands and giving us duas which are all for you seeing as you have been so merciful to donate. Once everyone was checked in they were then assessed to see what treatment they required drops and medication or the operation In the afternoon the people who require surgery were prepared and operated on after they were housed in tents to be assessed and then seen again in the morning by the doctors. 500 + people came to the clinic 73 were operated on for cataracts and the others have been treated and given the necessary medications for other various eye conditions We are now getting some rest but the doctors stayed in the operating theatre until 2am InshaAllah we are ready for day 2
