Each month the Loran Smith Center for Cancer Support offers many FREE support services for Cancer Survivors and their Caregivers. Check out just a few of the activities coming up this first week of June: 6/3 (10am - 12pm) Look Good...Feel Better: An American Cancer Society program offering FREE makeup, skin care, hair/wig care for ladies currently going through chemotherapy or radiation. Cosmetics are donated by major cosmetic companies and specially trained cosmetologists will present way to look good and feel better! Registration is required so please call 706.475.4900 or email [email protected] 6/3 (10am - 12pm) Hormone Therapy for Breast Cancer: This class provides information for people taking or considering hormone therapy (Tamoxifen, Arimidex, Aromasin or Femara) for breast cancer. The class includes: • The research behind this treatment and how it works • Ways to manage side effects • Strategies for decision making • Effective Communication Registration is required so please call 706.475.4900 or email [email protected] 6/6 (5:30—7:00pm) In Their Shoes Celebration: Join the celebration and learn more about the In Their Shoes Walk this Thursday at the The Griffin-DuBose Healing Lodge.
