Each of us has a gift. Some of us may have traveled a path that ended up sheltering that gift away from the light of the spirit. It however is still there. AN Old Parable. A Kingdom long ago was placing a citizen on trial for being a traitor to the crown. The Trial was swift and the proof was overwhelming - without doubt. The King decreed sentence yet while he did so he paused and offered the convicted soul an option. He said I am offering you the choice of execution in the public square or Taking (as He pointed to a ominous door) the Black Door You shall be confined to solitary confinement for 14 days then at that time and not before you shall give me your answer as to your choice. The King then sent the prisoner to his cell. The Kings court was puzzled by the actions and the King said he would explain later. 14 days later the prisoner was brought before the King to give his answer, The King This time walked over in front of the Black Door He asked the prisoner, what shall it be? Execution or the Black Door ? The room got silent and the prisoner chose Execution. So be it you have made your choice. The Prisoner was taken directly and executed. The Kings Court, lead by his right hand adviser asked the King what was that all about? What does the Black door lead too? The King stated in all his reign, he has only met 2 people who were brave enough to take the Black Door Humans by nature are fearful of the unknown and they will rather opt for a certain thing rather than face their fears. The Black Door leads to Freedom, and anyone who so chooses it receives all of their freedoms. When we are trying to make major changes in our life, we are often faced with with something that is uncertain or unknown, Courage is not the absence of fear Courage is knowing the fear yet continuing on through it. Today when something seems uncertain, Do yourself a favor Chose faith and dont allow your fear to paralyze you into making the easy decision.
