Earlier this morning I broke up 2 lbs of fresh green beans and cooked them in salt pork to add flavor that I bought at the Public Market with Amie on Saturday inside the bldg from an Hispanic lady they are the best real crisp and sooooo tender I will be back for more and the purple onions she had were great also .....I will be a regular at her booth and that with mac salad , chicken breasts and cornbread tonight truly a Southern dinner...Every bean I broke I went back to my childhood of my Mother , Grandma, Aunts and girl cousins help break the beans on the porch for all three families to enjoy...Such wonderful memories........
