Early New Years post! Just read it, really. Ive already liked dubbing 2014 Farewell 14 as I know it was rough for many others too. It opened nicely and seemed like it was gonna be another great year. Sweet! However, in less than two months it was apparent that wouldnt be the case, but onward ye shall go! Well, turns out no amount of optimism was going to help the way things continued on. Many loses, shitty events, and so on marked the year so prominently it couldnt be ignored. This in turn brought light on a few battles I hadnt realized Id been fighting. Perhaps a so-called blessing in disguise because not only were they not all new, but I was very much losing to them, and fast. Ive been through enough to know I cant call it my worst year. And its here Ill fully admit to avoiding openness with others so as to prevent offending someone who might have things worse off, even during my own rough times. But thats a work in progress. The new skills, lessons, and most importantly, revisiting my old self has been amazing for learning about (and for) the current me. Ive refound my excellent old ego, my hype for happiness, gained further skills in courage and bravery, and even got into better shape too. Things may have only recently started to make sense again, but thats okay. Theres already plenty to be happy about and to look forward to in the days ahead. And with that said, I hope everyone shares the same excitement and enthusiasm for themselves. :) Lets start the new year with a fresh beginning. Hi, Im Melissa Clark, welcome to Jackass!
