Early Retirement There are many people who talk about taking an early retirement.It could be health issues,or they just want to enjoy life while they have the chance.Maybe they want to travel or visit grandchildren.Maybe they are needed at home to take care of others that need them.I think the retirement age is sixty-five.There are businesses that will let you retire at fifty-five.In the early biblical days God had set aside an age he thought appropriate for retirement.It was fifty.Now if people today retired that early, it would take the government broke.Most people are still very active at that age. At the age of fifty they were to retire from physical work,they could oversee a project,but it was hands off in helping.God was watching out for his people.He still watches out for us,and if we should have health issues or some other reason for us to retire earlier than sixty-five then God will make sure there is a way for us to retire.My late husband retired at fifty-five because of health issues.A lot of people are bored after retirement so working past fifty is not so bad.God is watching over your health,and he knows you are working to make ends meet,so he lets you work as long as you can. Numbers 8 :25 But at the age of fifty,they must retire from their regular service and work no longer.
