Early in the Fall 2014 semester, Bryan Mitchell, a co-worker of mine at NEMCC, encouraged me to work up a solo bass arrangement of a christmas song to perform at the NEMCC Campus Country Christmas show. I chose to arrange and perform The Christmas Song. My hope was to convey the beauty of this piece while still including a few of my personal touches and re-harmonizations. Kelsey Wynns was nice enough to record me performing it when I visited Nashville in November. On a more personal note, I dedicate this to my parents (Ray and Nadine) who have always been immensely supportive in my musical endeavors and my incredibly influential and helpful teachers who helped to make me the teacher and musician that I am today (Roy Vogt, Curtis Burttram, Jeff Kirk, Bryan Clark, Don Byrd, Felicia Miyakawa, and Jamila McWhirter).
