East Lyme – A ceremony scheduled for Friday to mark the completion of the Niantic River rail bridge replacement project has been postponed because of the threat of inclement weather. The ceremony will be re-scheduled soon, Amtrak spokesman Cliff Cole said in an email. The ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by a tour of the bridge, was originally scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday. The bridge spans the Niantic River between East Lyme and Waterford.
