East Rockaway will be the humble recipients of a playground in honor of Noah Pozner. He was one of the 26 people (20 children) that were killed at Sandy Hook School in Connecticut. We are going to need major community support. They especially want children to be involved in helping to build the playground and celebrate Noahs Life. Here is the time line of how things are going to happen. One day the week of July 21 there is going to be a fundraiser in ER to fund future projects and help Pay it forward. Location and date still TBD. The two main days are Friday 7/25 @ 10:00am for the build and Sunday 7/27 @ 11:00 for the dedication and Flag raising ceremony. These events will be taking play at 4 E Cooke St (the end of East Blvd) For anyone interested in researching the project go to thesandygroundproject.org I look forward to seeing as many residents as possible.
