Easter Island For a long time the Easter Island has been subject to many speculations and controversy. Still, many questions go unanswered to this very day. How and why the inhabitants carve and transport the warrior statues (some of them are up to 50 feet high) that surround the island? Is there a mysterious force behind them and what is their purpose? Moreover the island is 2.000 miles away from the nearest population center which makes it one of the most isolated places on Earth. Some say the Eastern Island is fragment of a lost continent, and some go as far as claiming that it a result of an extra-terrestrial influence.
