Eating After Dark/8pm Will Make You Fat! How many of you have heard that? This assumption came from individuals thinking that if you were to eat calories at night, especially carbohydrates, you would gain fat due to your body being in a resting state and not needing/burring these calories. However, your body is resting & recovery at night from that hard workout or run when youre sleeping, so it needs nutrients especially protein to aid muscle growth! Eating at at night, even eating carbohydrates, will not make you gain fat unless youre eating too much throughout the day putting you into a calorie surplus. So not stress about getting your required daily macronutrients (protein, fats, carbs) in, late at night! - Scott Edmeds Training and Nutrition
