Ebola spreads so rapidly in Africa for two reasons, bushmeat and religious practices. A) an entire village costumes infected bushmeat. Bam! Epidemic. B) A person becomes otherwise infected and expires after which their family ritualistically cleans the body, leading to more cases. Keep in mind, the families who clean these bodys are not protecting themselves from contracting the virus. The ONLY way to contract Ebola is to come into direct physical contact with the bodily fluids (most specifically the black vomit) of a person AFTER they begin to show symptoms which can be days after they become infected. Many patients with proper medical attention dont even get to that stage. As for the cases in Texas and New York, all of those people became ill because they are doctors and nurses who knowingly risked their lives. Not random tourists. Not Liberian exchange students. Finally, more Americans have been married to Kim Kardashian than have been infected with Ebola.
