Ebony Phoenix Projects,Twin City Kwanzaa Projects start as a Phi Beta Sigma program in 1990. Kwanzaa programs were held at various cites in Minneapolis and St. Paul. The St. Paul Martin Luther King Center in St. Paul, under their (past) director Maryann Hagen was a main contributors too the growth of the Twin City Kwanzaa Programs. Phil Walker of Phi Beta Sigma, Maxie Jones (past) director of Oak Park Neighborhood Center were also key contributors in the early years of the FRIST 25 YEARS! Ebony Phoenix’s Projects is proud to announce that Darwin Rex Marshall has serve as the Director and Founder of E.P.P and its Kwanzaa programs since its first program in 1990. December 28, 2014 marks the 25th year that E.P.P will host Kwanzaa programs and this is made possible threw the Gold Sponsorships of Kevin & Lisa Armstrong, The Tin Cup, Sandra Donohue Independent Distributor,Young Living Essential Oils,and ProHost Entertainment Dj Deanna Baxter. E.P.P. would like to give special recognition to Martin “Roots” and his African drumming for over ten years of service (the first seven and the last three) THEME!!!!! THEME!!!!! “REVIEWING BLACK HISTORY THROUGH OUR MUSIC & SPOKEN WORD” Each program will start with a presentation of Kwanzaa, the meaning for that day and the lighting of the candles. Their will be Spoken Word and Songs that will look at the Historical Points of the African-American and African. Performers are Holsey CME Praise & Worship Team, Henry Ramosime doing the “I Have a Dream” speech and the music will be provided by ProHost Entertainment.
