Economic freedom has been incrementally strangled for forty years, and the PPACA takes a giant whack with a machete at consumer choice in the insurance market. The only answer is complete repeal. Loosen regulations for insurance companies to open a nationwide market for consumers and create more competition. Strengthen health savings plans to provide more security and more choice for consumers. Reform medical malpractice laws to reduce frivolous and excessive suits, while protecting the patient. Remove government subsidies that pervert the market and make health costs continue to rise at astronomical rates. Let consumers choose their insurance policies or no policy at all. That is the key to reducing health costs, because the policy holder and the policy provider will negotiate a mutually beneficial agreement. That is how the market works. Let the market work.
