Effed Up World: The New York Yankees are putting their fans to sleep and it may cost them! An embarrassed Yankees fan who fell asleep during a game against the Boston Red Sox has put together a defamation lawsuit against a pair of ESPN TV announcers who made fun of him on air. This guy is seeking 10 million bucks in damages! His typo-heavy lawsuit says millions of people “all over the world” were watching when these announcers used an “avalanche of disparaging words” such as “stupor, fatty, unintelligent and stupid” to describe the snoozing fan. It says the announcers made numerous false statements, at point even referring to him as “a fatty cow” and “not worthy to be a fan.” But a YouTube clip of it doesn’t include those putdowns. The fan says his character was defamed and claims he suffered emotional distress, especially after people made harsh comments about it online.
