Eguma Urges F/Eagles To Stay Focused By Bibian Onwugbolu, Port Harcourt Dolphins of Port Harcourt technical adviser, Stanley Eguma has urged the under-20 national team, Flying Eagles to be focused in their remaining matches at the ongoing FIFA U-20 World Cup in Turkey. Eguma was reacting to the national team’s 1-0 victory over South Korea to qualify for the round of 16, in which they will play against Uruguay at 7pm today (Nigeria time) and told SportsDay in Port Harcourt that the players need to be more professional in front of goal. The former assistant coach of the under-20 and under-23 squads further advised that the strikers must not lose chances that come their way and, while reminding the players to remain focused, he said they should concentrate fully in all departments. “I congratulate the team for the victory because the South Koreans were equally good and gave a good account of themselves. The boys have done well and I believe they will still do well in the second round of the tournament. “We played well, but you will agree with me that our players lost several scoring chances. I urge the coaching crew to work on the finishing ability of the team, to make them utilise all their scoring opportunities in order to progress further in the competition. “I want Coach John Obuh to organise his defense and make it concentrate more and not concede cheap goals. They should remain focused and take all their chances,’’ he said.
