Electrical Engineer, East Yorkshire , Salary negotiable depending on experience Overview This is an excellent opportunity to be work with a leading international business in the East Yorkshire area. An Electrical Engineer is required to work within a team of engineers providing full engineering support to the plant within a truly continuous 24/7 process driven production environment. The Candidate; The ideal candidate will have a mature and well-organised work attitude paired with a hands-on approach to problem solving, proven decision-making skills and a strong desire to succeed. You will be capable of developing instrumental relationships with your customers – the people who operate the production process. You must be educated to BTEC HND/Degree level. You should have some years practical experience, preferably in a 24/7 production environment. As part of a dynamic team, you will be expected to learn and share your experiences. You need to be able to respond to working demands, including call out and working out of core hours as the job requires. We value people with initiative and forward thinking. You need to also have a good understanding of health and safety requirements in a production environment, be able to deal with outside contractors. Required Skills & Experience; • We are looking for someone who has the technical knowledge and capability to handle the electrical engineering activities of the plant. • Candidates must have previous experience in HV/MV/LV electrical distribution systems, switchgear and transformers. • Candidates should also have experience with 66kV, 11kV and 400V power distribution, emergency generators and UPS. • You should also be familiar with instrumentation and process controllers, including practical knowledge of PLCs. Motor Control, variable speed drives. • Additional requirements: HV/MV/LV switching, electrical equipment in hazardous areas (IEC, IECx, Baseefa, ATEX).
