Electronic Pain Relievers Contolled By Smartphone Philips is about to launch a new device controlled by iPhones and iPads, but they do not follow the mainstream gadgets for mobile phones, such as docks or intelligent lighting and sound systems. The PulseRelief and BlueTouch are sets of patches meant to help suppress persistent pain. The PulseRelief uses a technology called TENS (transcutaneous electronic nerve stimulation), which supposedly prevents pain signals from reaching your brain. At the same time, the apparatus would stimulate the production of endorphin, chemicals that generate feelings of well-being and happiness. Made for people who suffer muscle and joint pain, there are a variety of devices on the market similar to PulseRelief – just search for “TENS device” on sites like eBay or Amazon to get an idea. What sets this particular one apart however is the range of 60 intensity levels through its app for smartphones and tablets. while, the BlueTouch is meant to specifically target back pain and is the updated version of an older product from Philips. The device shines a blue light from LEDs against the user’s skin and the manufacturer claims that it stimulates the body to release nitric oxide which increases blood flow and helps in the natural healing process. As with the Pulse Relief, the new BlueTouch comes with mobile device applications, where you can choose different patterns for the treatment. Both innovations will be out in American stores in a few months, but their prices have not yet been revealed. It is recommended to consult your doctor and carefully read the information with the products prior to purchase.
