Eli lost his 5th tooth today (I mention its the 5th because this stat is highly treasured by a 6 year-old...if you dont believe me, ask someone under 10 how many teeth theyve lost--I bet they can tell you EXACTLY) Anyhow, we got to laughing tonight about how funny it would be to have visits from the Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny in the same night. Uncle Grant didnt miss a beat, put on his most solemn face, and said, Oh man. I hear the Easter Bunny and Tooth Fairy are arch enemies! I bet youre gonna wake up with fairy dust and rabbit fur all over your house from the scuffle theyre bound to have. Thankfully, Eli didnt fall off the turnip truck last night, hes been around long enough to know better than to take Uncle Grant too seriously. (Although J and I did think about swiping the tooth and putting it in his Easter basket with a note stating the EB had caught the fairy in his room so he beat her up, took back his tooth. But, in the end, we decided to keep them separated...who knows what hed want to do with that tooth if we let him keep it!)
