Email I got from Rob A favorite show of mine has been Amazing Race, sometimes Rhonda would sit as I caught up on episodes. So after 1 year, 7 days, 6 initial rounds of chemo, 20 radiation treatments, MRIs, CT scans, IC Green tests, consultations, acupuncture, and a final round of chemo, cancer claimed another victim this afternoon. Having been diagnosed July 29, 2013, Rhonda was able to pack in a lot of experiences in such a short year: Multiple trips to Ann Arbor, the birth of of our Grandson, Jay and Danis wedding, winery visit in the west part of the state(ask me about Rhondas driving), trip to Nashville, Thanksgivakauh in Chicago, Danis graduation in Chicago, the first set of kids moving to California, trip to Toronto, my heart attack, cruise, visit with Florida relatives, second set of kids moving to California, new garage planning, and NYC to attend a nephews wedding. At the same time experiencing the ups and downs of building a new business and attending the season of plays and a couple of concerts and games. During this year Rhonda remained positive and never complained about the life story she was dealt. She wanted to be the poster person for The Tenor (the radiation oncologist), I think she was in her attitude, but not in outcome. She allowed me to express myself and at times make fun from her (in memory of her mothers saying). I will be missing my friend, lover, spouse, business partner, and English major that helped edit my emails. At this time the funeral is scheduled for 1pm Sunday August 10th at Hebrew Memorial 26640 Greenfield Rd Oak Park, MI 48237. Shiva will be at our house through Wednesday night. A thank you goes out to all our supportive friends and family, everyone at UMHS, and Henry Ford Hospice.
