Emails like this make what we do here at Stonehill so worth getting up in the morning. Dear Chris, A year ago, I had a beautiful, 12 week-old puppy that I was dangerously close to giving away. His aggressive behaviors gained strength as he sensed my fears and insecurities. Although I hired a trainer the day after I brought Seamus home from the breeder, it wasn’t the right fit for his or my needs. So, after just 5 weeks and at the end of my rope, I prayed for a miracle. And lo and behold I found you! Chris, you were my savior! I remember calling you at 10 pm on a Friday night and sharing my story. You were so calming and strong, that I felt safe enough to enroll Seamus the next day. (But not without first shedding a bucket of tears! LOL) The Stonehill Program was just what Seamus needed; intense training in a controlled environment. I not only had trouble grasping all the commands and leash protocols, but I also had difficulty “owning” my pack position. But after many visits (and a ton of patience on your part), it finally clicked! With all the attention and support from the entire Stonehill team, (including Diana and Cory) I have my Seamus today. But a large part of that goes to Dan, too. He’s truly an expert at what he does and was the perfect teacher and guide for Seamus. Seamus is “the Mayor” of my neighborhood now, loved by humans and dogs alike. He’s friendly, engaging, spirited and obedient. (And the envy of many other dog owners!
