Emeritus Singaporean: November 24, 2013 at 2:16 am (Quote) Can the intelligence of a few elected individuals in government be greater than the sum total intelligence of the entire citizens ? Whatever that has been decided by these individual government officials should be put to a referendum by the citizens, and should not quietly implemented without any further information given to the affected citizens. This was the situation that Singaporeans have belatedly discovered after the FTA was agreed and signed between India and Singapore, with this Little Red Dot bearing the raw end of an unbalanced deal. It was absurd for India to push for Singapore to accept a deal that forced Singaporeans to accept an unlimited number of India’s citizens to work in Singapore considering that India’s population is over a Billion compared to this Little Red Dot. It resulted in Singaporean standard of living deteriorating as wages became depressed and more Singaporeans losing their jobs to the mass of foreigners from a multitude of countries that the useless PAP Government had signed up with and gave little considerations to the negative effects to Singaporean’s position. Do Singaporeans need to suffer further from the ‘DUPLICITY and HYPOCRISY’ of the PAP that has created the miserable situation that Singaporeans are trapped in ?
